The 8 en-suite open-plan cottages are uniquely designed and crafted, incorporating the natural features of the rocky hillside. Each cottage is luxuriously appointed with spacious double or twin beds. The en-suite bathrooms are sumptuous: showers or baths made out of stone, modern flush toilets, bidets and double basins. Traditional African-made furniture, bright ikat fabrics and whitewashed walls are simple yet superbly comfortable and stylishly effective.
One double cottage is set slightly apart from the others, ideal for families with children or a group. It has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom (bathrooms en-suite).
Elsa’s Private House is a spacious, stylish, exclusive hideaway set slightly apart from the main area. It has 2 rooms with elegantly appointed en-suite bathrooms. There is a shared living and dining area leading seamlessly outdoors to an infinity swimming pool from where you can enjoy breathtaking views over swamps and plains to the foothills of Mount Kenya.  Each cottage is attended by a butler who also waits on you at mealtimes. The food is traditional Northern Italian cuisine blended with a selection of local and international dishes, fresh baked bread, crisp salads and locally grown vegetables.
Paved paths, lit by lamps at night, lead from each cottage to the comfortable open bar, lounge and dining room. There is a sense of space, style and pure relaxation. Look out across the plains to the Kenyan horizon with sundowners in hand – this is perfect for chilling out after a game drive or guided walk in the bush.
On game drives and guided nature walks you virtually have the park to yourself. You may also like to try your hand at fishing, take the plunge and raft the nearby Tana River or visit nearby local villages.
