Getting here is an adventure in itself - you first cross the Mara River by boat and then walk a short distance, escorted by armed guards, through the forest to reach the camp.
All 17 tents are comfortable and tastefully furnished; each has an en-suite bathroom, hot water and even bidets. They are spread out and tucked among the trees and each has a private veranda from which to watch the wildlife.
In keeping with safari tradition lighting is by gas and kerosene lantern or candlelight. As dusk falls the flickering lights in the forest make the camp a uniquely peaceful and atmospheric place. Beyond, the deep blues of the Oloololo Ridge melt into the horizon.
Morning tea/coffee is served in your tent with the morning wake-up call. An excellent buffet breakfast awaits your return from the dawn game drive, with another good buffet for lunch. Weather permitting, breakfast and lunch are served outdoors.
Come evening it’s time for a delicious à la carte dinner, served in the candlelit dining tent, or al fresco under starlit African skies. After having enjoyed your evening meal you re-live the day with digestives and tall tales around the blazing campfire.

The main camp area includes an open bar and dining tent with views over the plains, marsh and escarpment. The curio shop stocks a range of crafts and souvenirs. A professional beauty therapist is on hand to provide a choice of in-room spa treatments.
The guide ‘Kenya’s Best’ adds: "There is something about this camp that is very friendly, yet private. Guests seem to enjoy mingling with the staff and each other, and because of the smallness of the camp, you really feel special."
