Ngulia Lodge pool
When in the heat of the day the animals disappear you might want to have a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, which is set to offer spectacular view of the sweeping plains below, or take a drive to the oasis of Mzima Springs with its underwater viewing facility allowing you to view hippo wallowing with surprising grace 'from below the water line.

Dinner is served in the main restaurant and afterwards you can relax in one of the two bars, enjoying the serene Kenyan night.

Ngulia Lodge - leopard
After dark, the floodlit waterhole gives you the chance to see nocturnal animals emerge from the bush and sometimes even leopard, one of the shyest animals of the bush, come to the baiting area for a meal – this is one of the most enthralling and exciting sights to be had on your Kenya safari.

The lodge, however, is also internationally renowned as a haven for bird lovers, who, every year between October and December, ‘ring’ migrating birds escaping the harsh winter conditions of the northern hemisphere. It is the only place where this activity takes place in Kenya.

The serene Kenyan hills and valleys, the dark starry nights, the calming night-sound of small animals and the sense of comfort in the lodge while waiting on the leopard to come to feed all promises a stay at this lodge to be a special time indeed on your Kenya safari.
